Job Role

This pivotal role is a fast-paced position requiring excellent task management abilities to ensure the highest standards of aftersales service support to our customers. Focused on customer care and satisfaction, you will need to be able to understand client needs and respond to them pro-actively, positively and quickly. Utilising the latest technology and managing the department profitably is key to extracting the full potential of the team personnel and resources. Essential Skills & Knowledge: Excellent communication and organisational skills; Enthusiasm and determination even under pressure to motivate a team; Your career will be technically focused, ideally with Agricultural machinery; Excellent customer services skills and experience; IT and business system literate and a willingness to embrace the latest technology.

Our company is seeking a service advisor with basic technical skills being an advantage but not essential and excellent customer service skills. The successful candidate will work directly with the Service Manager and a Service Administrator in a modern office setting to enable the delivery of first-class service support to both external and internal customers. Ideally you will have the ability to understand technical aspects of modern farm equipment and customers needs, confident in making calls to customers both proactively and reactively, to enhance and develop customer relationships throughout the ownership cycle of the product supplied and supported by B&B Tractors. You will assist the current team ensuring labour availability and utilisation for the engineering work force so that customers' needs are satisfied in good time and in line with any SLA that may be in place. Ensuring that timescales are adhered to on all jobs to maintain profitability from either retail sales or, internal policy jobs. This is a full-time role (with Saturday mornings on a rotation basis).

Technical know-how would be advantageous but not essential, and an agricultural background would also be would a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will work directly with the service manager and another service advisor to enable the delivery of first-class service support to both external and internal customers. Excellent planning and communication skills is a prerequisite for this position. To manage labour availability and utilisation for the engineering work force so that customers are attended to in good time and in line with any SLA that may be in place. Ensuring that timescales are adhered to on all jobs to maintain profitability from either retail sales or, internal policy jobs. This is an office-based role working in a modern office setting. This is a full-time role (with Saturday mornings on a rotation basis).

  • Deliver best in class service support
  • Excellent communication with internal and external customers
  • Booking in proactively, PPM's and breakdowns
  • Chasing engineer reports and ensuring concise detail is present
  • Preparing engineer reports to be able to invoice in a timely manner
  • Liaising with OEM's for technical support to Field Service engineers
